I was born in a small company town in Westfir, Oregon on September 26, 1940. On August 1968, Grampa proposed to me. Aunt Juanita worked swing shift at Boeing and her, Bob, Grandpa and I went to get a bite to eat after work. Grandpa proposed to me there.
My most embarrassing moment before we got married was when Grandpa was staying at the house so much that Grandma Vesta was making a joke and said since you are here so much you might as well move in. The next thing grandpa did was bring his suitcase over.
I was bought up believing in God. My mom took us to church from as far as I can remember. When I was too old for Bible school I helped my mother teach. God has never let me down. He helped me through losing my dad and my grandmother three months a part in late 1965. Then in early 1966, I lost my sister Pat and my mom and niece, Sue, were badly hurt. The following year in June I gave birth to a baby girl named Samantha Louise and she died. I remember during this time that there were times I would hit bottom and God sent me someone to help lift me up. God has always been my rock and always will be. I always tried to show this to my children.
